JERRY DAUGHERTY BRINGS MOMENTUM TO THE 2013 SEASON

ROUNDS 1 & 2

FIREBIRD INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY

CHANDLER, AZ

Jerry Daugherty

Pro 4 #23

While there seemed to be a buzz of talk in the pits and many changes for many teams, Jerry Daugherty decided that it was time to step things up for the 2013 season!

LOORRS Rounds 1& 2

Although it had been awhile since Jerry Daugherty and the E 3 Spark Plugs Pro 4 hit the track at Firebird Raceway, it seemed as if it were yesterday.  Jerry and the #23 hit the track for practice and qualifying sessions with more speed than in the past.

Although Jerry had great starts and fast runs, Jerry and the #23 had front end issues in both qualifying sessions.  As Round 1 of racing began on Saturday, the issues with the front end were long gone.  Changes in the race procedures found the racers having no mandatory caution, and a time limit imposed.  Round 1 found the Pro 4 class with no cautions, and 20 full, continuous laps!  This change in rules caused the Pro 4 class to separate a bit and found the whole track covered with race trucks. While starting last, Jerry finished in 8th place.

As Round 2 approached on Sunday, Jerry was prepared to make a better run and determined to improve his placement.  The Pro 4 #23 battled hard all race and proved to be improving while taking the checkered flag with a top 5 finish!!!

Jerry and the E3 Spark Plugs Pro 4 are ready to take the great momentum and set out to challenge in Rounds 3 & 4 in Las Vegas next month.

PRO LITE #23

AARON DAUGHERTY

ROUND 1

The Mickey Thompson Pro Lite #23 of Aaron Daugherty showed up at Firebird Raceway this past weekend looking nothing like it's former self! With months and months of changes and work done to every aspect of this truck, Aaron was excited to get behind the wheel and try it out!  Having significant changes to the motor package, the Live Fast Play Dirty crew had a little work ahead of them to get the adjustments in tune.

One of the tuning issues involved the carburetor.  This adjustment caused Aaron to start near the back of a 27 truck field!  It didn't take long to see that the carburetor issue had been resolved.  Aaron and the #23 Pro Lite battled his way through the lengthy field, and with 3 laps to go, found himself in good company!  Aaron was in 3rd position with only Morris and Deegan in front of him. As the laps continued, it seemed that Aaron had at least something competitive for the machine of Bradley Morris.  During these final laps of the race, Aaron lost contact with the spotters tower and was on his own to battle the front two, while protecting his position from those behind.  While doing so, Aaron and the #23 found a deep rut in turn 3. The rut in turn 3 caused the truck to veer and ultimately flip.  While this incident caused Aaron to ultimately end the race near the back, the performance of Aaron during the race was to be unshadowed!  This program has proven that it has what it takes to be a true, front running, competitor in this unbelievably tough, talented class.

Round 2

Aaron and the #23 Pro Lite felt as if they had some unfinished business to handle for the 2nd round of the LOORRS series.  Knowing the components needed were in the palm of the hand, Aaron set out for a better finish.  While the slight carburetor issue reared it's head on Sunday, the #23 battled toward the front.  As the race progressed, so did the many cautions and crashes.  The final caution of the race found Aaron in a bad position.  The truck behind the #23 jumped the start and plowed Aaron into the wall entering the final turn prior to start.  This hit broke the King Shocks on the #23 and put him out of the race.  Not happy with this incident as expected, Aaron did what he could and is more determined than ever to prove himself in Vegas next month.

Look for exciting new things coming soon for the Pro Lite #23!!!!

JERRY  DAUGHERTY

E3 SPARK PLUGS  - PRO 4 #23

       ROUNDS 3 & 4

LAS VEGAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY

Jerry Daugherty, after Round 3 & 4, is

currently in 5th Place of the Championship

Standings.

The E3 Spark Plugs/Lucas Oil Pro 4 #23 set out to battle in Las Vegas!  Having great momentum due to the great results had at Firebird Raceway in Rounds 1 & 2.  The 2013 season finds Jerry and the team looking to improve lap times, consistency, and ultimately to spend more time on the box!

LOORRS Rounds 3 & 4

Jerry Daugherty and the #23 had a few front end issues in practice, and the great crew of the Live Fast Play Dirty Motorsports team had him ready for qualifying on Saturday morning.  Jerry qualified 9th in Saturday's round of qualifying. As race time commenced, Jerry and the #23 knew, that with the level of competition in this Pro 4 class, that he was going to have to push his way through the field from 9th, and finish in the top 5 at the least.  Jerry was able  to do just that!  Jerry battled his way toward the front and kept out of trouble, while challenging Kyle LeDuc for the 5th position.   It worked out for him and the E3 Spark Plugs #23 as he finished 5th in Saturday's round of racing!

Sunday's qualifying effort was much like that of Saturday, placing Jerry in the 9th position.  Although placing in the same position, Jerry was able to increase lap times significantly and prove to make increasing successes.

As the green flag dropped, Jerry proceeded to run a great race.  It seemed that most of the race was a battle between Jerry and the E3 #23 and Brandon Bailey of the Stonghold Motorsports team.  They battled for seemingly endless laps, when the unfortunate tire demise of Corry Weller caused her to hit the hot pits allowing Brandon to gain position from Jerry.  The battling of round 4 continued, and at the checkered flag, Jerry finished in 6th position.

Jerry Daugherty and the E3 Spark Plugs/Lucas Oil Pro  4 had a great weekend and has definitely proven that he is gaining on the leaders!

PRO LITE #23

 AARON DAUGHERTY

ROUND 3

The Mickey Thompson Pro Lite #23 of Aaron Daugherty showed up at Firebird Raceway for Rounds 1 & 2 looking nothing like it's former self! With months and months of changes and work done to every aspect of this truck, Aaron was excited to get behind the wheel and try it out! Having significant changes to the motor package, the Live Fast Play Dirty crew have worked to fine tune what seems to be a great package! As the trucks began showing up for Rounds 3 & 4 of racing, it was apparent that the Pro Lite class was going to be massive in size!  This was confirmed once practice and qualifying began! Qualifying was spilt into two groups in order to give the field a better qualifying scenario. Aaron and the Mickey Thompson/Lucas Oil Pro Lite #23 ran a great effort and finished 8th in his group of qualifiers.  He was in hopes of having a better effort and starting near the front, but the #23 quickly proved his intent once the green flag dropped! The massive field of Pro Lite entries was amazing to watch!  Closing in on the 30 count of trucks, this class is absolutely brutal!  As 27 trucks hit the first turn, not a single truck lifts!  This high intensity racing continued throughout the 14 lap event!  Aaron ran a great, clean race, proving to be a success for the #23.  Aaron and the Live Fast Play Dirty Motorsports/ Mickey Thompson/ Lucas Oil Pro Lite brought in a top 10 finish and finished this round in 9th place.

ROUND 4

Aaron and the #23 qualified 8th in his group for Round 4 of racing.  He and the crew were focused and ready for racing!  Again, as the massive group of trucks made their parade lap, it wasn't without thought of carnage, that the race began.  If there was any question as to whether or not the field could get any more aggressive.......there is none now. Sunday's race involved more contact, and more battles than

Saturday's, and Aaron was directly in the mix!  The #23 was involved in everything from big contact, to bicycling on 2 wheels, to ultimately having a difficult time seeing through the mangled hood that was in front of him.  A few issues in turn 4 caused him to shuffle back a few places, and he was not able to regain the positions.  At the end of the race, Aaron and the Mickey Thompson/Lucas Oil Pro Lite finished in a respectable 15th!

Aaron and the #23 Pro Lite is in 14th Place in the Points Standings.

Living Fast at Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park!

LOORRS Rounds 5 & 6

May 18-19, 2013

Much to the pleasant surprise of the race teams, the weather at the Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park this past weekend was beautiful to say the least!  It was a picture perfect setting for Rounds 5 & 6 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series.

Jerry Daugherty

E 3 Spark Plugs Pro 4 #23

The E3 Spark Plugs Pro 4 of Jerry Daugherty ran great practice times and prepared for the weekend's races.  Jerry was pleased with the performance of the #23 and ready for racing!

Qualifying 9th on both Saturday and Sunday, Jerry knew that he had to work hard to move to the front.  Many incidents on the track caused the Pro 4 race to have a few cautions as the laps of racing progressed.  Some attrition was had and Jerry was able to keep out of trouble and bring in a 6th place finish!  While finishing well in Saturday's round of racing, Jerry would not be so lucky in Round 6 on Sunday. Early in the race,  the E3 #23 and the #43 of Curt LeDuc made contact while coming over the jump into turn 3 at the Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park.  This altercation caused substantial damage to the #23 and was unable to finish the race.  The great crew of Live Fast Play Dirty Motorsports went to work to repair and prepare for Rounds 7 & 8 at the Miller Motorsports Park, June 22-23, 2013.  This  is Jerry Daugherty's home town track and there is much excitement to race in front of the hometown crowd.

Aaron Daugherty

Mickey Thompson/Lucas Oil - Pro Lite #23

Aaron Daugherty and the Mickey Thompson/Lucas Oil Pro Lite #23 seen to be getting to know one another.  Each time they hit the track, great progress is  made.  The events at Lake Elsinore were no exception.

Although the qualifying placements weren't what he had hoped, Aaron was certain to be noticed forging his way through the field of 27 trucks.  The #23 was fast and determined.  Starting within the second half of the field on Saturday, Aaron worked his way through the field of those ahead.  He managed to run a clean, steady race and brought the team a top ten finish.

Sunday's race began much as that of Saturday's with Aaron needing to work toward the front.  He did a great job, and found himself in 8th place when the #23 lost all power.  After a few minutes, Aaron was able to get the #23 back in the race, but back to the end of the field.  In true Daugherty manner, Aaron went to work and pulled out a 2nd top ten finish of the weekend for the Live Fast Play Dirty Motorsports team. This weekend was a positive movement forward for Aaron Daugherty in the points standings and toward the podium!

Welcoming Ion Cameras & The Gun Vault Utah to the team!!

LOORRS Rounds 7 & 8

June 22-23, 2013

Much to the pleasant surprise of the race teams, the weather at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, UT this past weekend was beautiful to say the least!  It was a picture perfect setting for Rounds 7 & 8 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series.

Live Fast  Play Dirty Motorsports is proud to announce our partnership with Ion Cameras and The Gun Vault Utah!!

Jerry Daugherty - Pro 4 #23

The E3 Spark Plugs Pro 4 of Jerry Daugherty and the entire team have been all over Utah promoting the weekend's events at Miller Motorsports Park. Racing in front of the hometown crowd was great.  Much appreciation to all of the fans and friends that attended!

Qualifying 9th on both Saturday and Sunday, Jerry knew that he had to work hard to move to the front.  Early in the race, Jerry Daugherty, Corry Weller, and Brandon Bailey were involved in an incident in turn 3.  This incident caused the three to be shuffled back in the pack and they all tried to gain position as the race progressed.   Jerry Daugherty and the E3 Spark Plugs/ Lucas Oil, General Tire Pro 4  was able to keep out of trouble and bring in a 8th place finish!

Round 8 of racing for the Pro 4 class was extreme to say the least!  As trucks flipped, black flags dropped, and parts flew, Jerry Daugherty and the #23 kept consistent and made his way to the front.  The green/white/checkered finish of the exciting Pro 4 race ended with Jerry Daugherty and E3 Spark Plugs #23 in 4th place!  Great job and great race for Jerry and the entire team while in front of the hometown crowd!

Aaron Daugherty - Pro Lite #23

Aaron Daugherty and Live Fast Play Dirty Motorsports welcomed a feature partner to their Pro Lite #23 program!  The Gun Vault Utah proudly stepped onboard for the LOORS events held in Utah.  Sporting a custom new theme provided by Chandler Smith of the Gun Vault, the Lucas Oil./Mickey Thompson Tires/Gun Vault Pro Lite was among the conversations of all at MMP!

Although the qualifying placements weren't what he had hoped, Aaron was certain to be noticed forging his way through the field of 27 trucks.  The #23 was fast and determined.  Starting within the second half of the field on Saturday in the 20th position, Aaron  and the Gun Vault/Mickey Thompson #23 made all take notice as he battled  through the field and took the #23 to the 8th spot!  Great run for Aaron Daugherty and the #23!!!

Sunday's race began much as that of Saturday's with Aaron needing to work toward the front.  Determined to place better than that of Saturday, Aaron was aggressive and had his sights set on the front!  Unfortunately, Ryan Hagy had a different idea.  In turn 4 of the first lap, Hagy pinned the #23 of Aaron Daugherty against the k rail and proceeded to keep in the gas until the lower arm of the #23 buckled and ended the day for the Gun Vault/ Mickey Thompson Pro Lite #23.  Extremely disappointed, Aaron needed a few deep breaths as expected.  He then put his energy into the thoughts and considerations for what is needed for Rounds 9 & 10 in Glen Helen. This weekend was a positive movement forward for Aaron Daugherty in the points standings and toward the podium!
